So you've brought me back [Expanded Universe. The ORIGINAL one.]

[[OOC: I know, I know, it's the "Legends" universe now, but I'm gonna call it the Original Expanded Universe because Long Live the Rebellion.]]

So, it was good, apparently. It must've been, because I've been dormant in your mind for a long time now.

Which begs the question: why now? I'm the last of the Royal Guard, in a universe that no longer exists as it once did. I was lost to begin with, shorn of purpose. Like those...what did you call them? Ronin, I believe was the term.

I have no master, the remains of the Empire have failed me. I cannot - will not - become part of the Republic...where do I go now?

His first instinct is, of course, to say no. To just walk away. But what use is dignity when there is nothing to be dignified about? Being forced back into the mercenary life can wait for another day.

There's something so patently absurd to the fact that she just kicked a soccer ball to an Imperial Royal Guardsman in full regalia.

But nothing anywhere near as absurd as him kicking it back, a foot emerging from red robes.

"There ya go! Just like that! Now, I'm gonna step back a bit and I want you to kick it to me again."

She kicked it back, slowly, and hopped back about ten feet.

He watched it silently in much the same way that a hunter might look at something that could potentially turn into a predator.

But then, looking at it the entire time, he kicks it back.

"That's the way!" It was a nice and precise kick, straight to her. "How about a little harder now? Like this...watch out!"

and WHAM here comes the soccer ball!

He immediately fell into a combat stance, delivering a kick to the ball that had everything to do with the technique of a fine warrior and not a single thing to do with playing soccer.

"Wow, you're a natural at this! Try to get it a bit more centered, but you have great form and power already!" She knocked the ball back and forth to herself in a slow eight pattern while she spoke. "Now, in real soccer, you're going to try to get the ball into a big net, which sounds easy but you've got a whole other team to deal with, and a goalie to get past. But you're also on a team of your own. I think you'll pick up on it pretty quickly, since that's basically a military formation."
