Well, actually it's tomorrow...but yeah, I'm nervous. This is technically the first race activity of the 2016 season - a season that I have to do well in. And it's at a track I have never driven. With the public watching. This isn't like just going to your office.

(Shelby takes a slow, deep breath.)

I know it sounds stupid given everything we've just accomplished. But I can't shake the memory of what happened before. I'm afraid of it happening again. Of having a bad year and losing my job and getting dumped and being alone and totally lost...

...I can't do that again. I can't go back there again. You don't know how much that hurt. If it weren't for Tobey and his friends I don't think I could've gotten through it. And the only way for me not to have history repeat itself is to do well right now.

So please. Just understand if I'm freaking out or if I need a hug or if I don't want to write certain things right now. Because I'm nervous as hell and I'm just going to be that way for a while.
