Looking for a game
And here I had hoped your whims regarding my personage would be short lived and frivolous at best.
What is this matter about a "game?" Treating me as if I am some toy to play with?
Nevertheless, I cannot say I am pleased by these turn of events, as I have heard of what horrors and manipulations have occurred in these "games."
It is not fear, child, it is caution and the understanding of one's circumstances, something you would do well to learn.

And you know, you really do look younger than the last time I saw you.

You're very sweet to say as much, I've been told that you've gone and gotten even younger after you and I parted.

The chin, though, and the crooked bowties, oh don't remind me. I don't know what my future self was thinking.
[He gives her a little smile then, because it has been a while.] Hello.

You are my Doctor, no matter how you might look. [And she knows well, perhaps better than most, the many faces of the Doctor. She takes a deep breath.]
Look at you, as if you never left, my lonely angel.

You say that now, wait until you meet him. Or the one after that. From what I've heard, he's very, very... grumpy. Also not ginger, never ginger apparently. [The Doctor sighs, a note of disappointment on his voice.]
Well I am a bit... older, since I last saw you. Lost a few more people along the way - friends, they were my friends. It happens, same ole time traveling life. But you haven't aged a day, just look at you.

I am sorry, Doctor. [She linked their fingers.] My lonely Doctor, you have been alone too long.
