That woman's ambitions were never her own. One who is a slave to the whims of another can never hope to accomplish anything.
No, only someone strong enough to subjugate the will of those life fibers and command them would ever achieve anything in that world.

Such a shame about her daughter as well. She amassed her forces and established her chain of command only to use it all to rebel against her mother rather than change the world as we were lead to believe. I would have hoped she had set herself some higher goals.
I suppose in the end, both daughters were simply a waste of talent like everyone else.
